USS Yonada (NCC-1879) was an Avenger-class heavy frigate on active duty in Starfleet during the late 23rd century. She was commissioned in October, 2253 as a Surya-class frigate, and underwent a major refit in 2276-2278 to convert it to an Avenger-class vessel. (Ships of the Star Fleet)

Nomenclature[]
The ship was named after the asteroid-ship Yonada launched by the Fabrini civilization approximately 7,500 B.C.E., Earth calendar. (The asteroid-ship may have been a legend at the time of the Starfleet vessel's naming and commissioning in the 2250s, as the first known encounter with the Fabrini in contemporary times was c. 2269.)
