By 2265 Venkatrangan was assigned to the Mumbai as chief engineer. He conducted training simulations for his officers and crew while in-flight. He delegated a lot to his second engineer Farid Singh. (TOSS #13 "It's Just a Sim", #23 "Linear Warp Drive")
