The Victoria-class dreadnought ships were originally built in the late 2240s. Three Constitution-class ships were halfway through construction when Starfleet decided to convert them into dreadnoughts. With the exception of the third warp nacelle and interior configuration, they were no different than the Constitution class. Four more ships of this class would later be built.
The Napoleon was later replaced by the Proxima-class line of battleships and four of them would carry names of Napoleon-class starships. (Star Trek: Eagle)
