Wing commander (abbreviated as Wg Cdr, WGCDR or WCDR) was a commissioned rank and title used by various organizations.
Star Trek: Banshee Squadron

Star Trek: Swiftfire
The rank of wing commander was used by the Starfleet Starfighter Corps in the late 24th century. It ranked above lieutenant commander. It was also to refer to a officer of any rank who commanded a wing. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "Deployment"), et al.)
Star Trek: Remington
The rank of wing commander was used by the Federation Starfighter Corps in the 24th century. It was equivalent to the naval rank of captain and the infantry rank of colonel.
