Winry was a Starfleet engineering officer stationed aboard Earth Spacedock and then the USS Ragnarok in the early 25th century. She was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. (Earth Spacedock, Star Trek: Phoenix-X)

History[]

Winry was at the rank of Lieutenant when she was working in the interior shipyard section of Earth Spacedock in 2410. She was on the team assisting with mothballing the USS Phoenix-X, but explained to Captain Oroku Seifer that the ship wouldn't completely be decommissioned. (Earth Spacedock: Page 10)

She later met Captain Aeris in Spacedock's infirmary, where she recalled stories about Aeris helping the Undine and revealed that she was working on an inter-dimensional device in competition with the Starfleet Corps of Engineers. Aeris proceeded to pull Winry off mothballing to utilize her help and the device in investigating the Captain's own personal disappearing problem. (Page 11)

After a week aboard the USS Zephyra, Winry was still attempting to integrate her inter-dimensional device into the ship's sickbay when an error in repair caused it to engage and transport the entire ship into fluidic space. There, Winry joined Aeris in tracking down and infiltrating an Undine biobase in control by an Undine mad scientist named Kohogeth. Winry equipped her and Aeris with exo-armor and bio-molecular phaser rifles. While on the biobase, the two discovered and helped to release half of Spacedock's human population, which were transported over there, into a giant holding cell, by Kohogeth, by accident. Winry fought off several Sleri, and took down a Sleri-Undine creature before the two recieved assistance from the Sleri and the biobase to create a portal and push the Zephyra back into normal space. (Pages 12, 15-16, 20-24)

Much to Aeris' chagrin, Winry was assigned to the USS Ragnarok. (Page 25)

At the first senior officer staff meeting aboard the Ragnarok, Winry was opposed to a round-table introduction exercise and disputed the need for madness and time-travel in solving issues. She later back-tracked on her stance when the staff worked together on an outside-the-box solution against the sudden threat of a Verathan sub-ossemite statue. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X: "Department Heads")

When the Ragnarok was in orbit of a Deferi colony world and Seifer on an away mission, Winry took command of the ship and monitored the ever-present Breen Sarr Theln-class warship Leinstien until it departed the system. ("Neutrality for Beginners")
