The Yattho were an offshoot of the Xindi-Insectoid species who had left the former Delphic Expanse and moved away from the other Xindi species. They retained their quick thinking but had also passed through a temporal anomaly that had given the species a hereditary insight into future events. They retained the typical Xindi-Insectoid technology and used star cruisers with particle weapons.
In an alternate timeline where Data was rescued by the Klingon Defence Force and raised in the Klingon Empire, the KDF was testing the IKS Vor'cha, a prototype for the new Vor'cha class attack cruisers, the Yattho predicted that Chalnoth pirates would attempt to raid their space. The Yattho supported the Klingon fleet throughout the battle, destroying the Chalnoth-salvaged Avenger (NX-09) in the process. (Data, son of Soong)
